Got Questions? We Have Answers!
Q1. What is SPLASH? A1. A ministry for all singles only ages 21-75 in the body of Christ to fellowship with other singles in a Christ-centered environment that promotes building health relationships and serving in the Lord's kingdom. Q2. Is there an age requirement to participate? A2. Yes, you must be 21 years old by the time of the event. Q3. Will SPLASH events only be on a cruise ship? A3. At this time yes, but the SPLASH Administration Team is exploring other options. Q4. Must I pay the deposit by the deadline? A4. It is recommended that all deposits are paid by the deadlines provided by the travel agency. These deadlines are set by the cruise line and the travel agency cannot guarantee that rates will not change after the deadlines. Q5. Do I need a passport? A5. No, but it is recommended. If you do plan to get one give your local state agency 6 weeks to 6 months to complete the process. You can board with your Vital Statistics issued birth certificate and your driver's license. Keep in mind, you cannot fly without a passport, the ship will be your only means of transportation. Please advise if more info is needed. Q6. How are the room rates broken down? A6. Room rates are priced according to the room occupancy or number of people in your cabin/room (1, 2, 3, 4). For other cruise related questions please visit: www.carnival.com/core/faq.aspx Q7. Do we have a specific time that we will eat dinner? A7. Yes, all SPLASH participants will eat during the early dining (6:15 pm) to ensure we have time for other planned activities. Q8. What is a Ship/Sail Card? A8. A ship/sail card is a card that will have your name, cabin number, and eating time printed on it. You will also be able to attach a credit card to this card, which allows to you to make purchases without carrying around personal credit card or money while on the cruise. Also, if you are given any cruise credit, it will be placed on your ship/sail card. Q9. What is the difference between the cruise deposit and a registration fee? A9. The cruise deposit is paid directly to the cruise line through the travel agency and secures or locks in the promised rate. The registration fee is used for SPLASH event expenses (i.e. session and meeting rooms, the session speaker, refreshments, printed materials, communion (if cruising on a Sunday), T-shirts, etc.). The registration fee is paid separately through Paypal. |
